Park Life Project

P5 Room 10 had their final visit to Orangefield Park in June.  We worked with Connor who took us on a worm hunt.  We had the opportunity to dig for worms.  This was an amazing experience.  The pupils were tested on their knowledge of butterflies in a true or false quiz.  The best part of the day was designing our own butterflies with items from the park.  A great time was had by all.

P5 Room 10 had their second visit to Orangefield Park last week.

They made Bug hotels and collected pictures and facts about the history of parks in Belfast.

All the pupils are thoroughly enjoying this interaction with the local environment.

P5 Room 10 had their first visit to Orangefield Park with the Park Life Project.

The pupils had the opportunity to learn about squirrels and how they hide their food.

They also took tree rubbings and investigated different types of leaves.

We are all looking forward to our next trip and more studies of nature.
