  • Cash for Clobber

    CASH FOR CLOBBER COLLECTION

    THURS 25TH&  FRI 26TH SEPTEMBER (from 9am to 1pm - at the ReUse Event)

     

    IN CONJUNCTION WITH CTR’S RECYCLING CASH FOR CLOBBER SCHEME & ECO-SCHOOLS NI

    WE WILL BE COLLECTING UNWANTED / END OF LIFE CLOTHES, SHOES AND HOUSEHOLD TEXTILES

     

    BY RE-USING AND RECYCLING THESE ITEMS WE ARE HELPING REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL GOING TO LANDFILL AND ALSO HELPING FUNDRAISE FOR THE SCHOOL

     

    PLEASE LEAVE IN BAGS OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL HALL ON THE ABOVE DATES

    PTA WILL BE THERE TO HELP YOU – ANY QUESTIONS IN ADVANCE ASK YOUR PTA REP ON WHATSAPP

  • ORANGEFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL PTA SUMMER FAIR SAT 7TH JUNE 2025

    Come along this Saturday from 10 am to 1pm.

     

    The £5 wrist band will include the following:

    • Unlimited access to the inflatables from Funky Fun – look out for the new Carnival Games Stall sponsored by MMW Legal, Ballyhackamore;
    • Exploris Pop Up Aquarium sponsored by FonaCab;
    • Magic George – walkabout magic and balloon modelling;
    • Bloomfield FC Football Sessions on the Muga pitch;
    • Activity Room – movie, colouring in, glitter tattoos;
    • Garden / Playground games including Giant Jenga, Connect 4 & Snakes and Ladders.

     

    We also have teas, coffees, treats, a quiet room and many many stalls.

  • Orangefield Repair Day - Saturday 17th May 2025 10 am to 1 pm.

    The PTA ECO Committee are very excited to be hosting this event at the school with The Repair Cafe Charity on Sat 17/05/25 from 10am to 1pm.  

     

    • Cycle Repair Team - to mend adult and kids bikes - they are a very experienced team and up for all repair challenges - no booking required just come along from 10am;
    • Bike M check available- this is a 1 min check to ensure that saddle & bars height are correct, wheels aligned and brakes not rubbing;
    • Mend Team - to repair clothes / take up hems / fix zips / sew on scout/GB badges etc - there will also be needles, thread and advice available if you want to learn (young & old welcome!!);
    • The PTA will host a Cafe  - tea, coffee, juice, scones, homemade tray bakes etc;
    • All repairs completed by the Volunteers are free of charge but all small donations are welcome which will help the charity to cover running costs eg insurance & travel costs;
    • Preloved uniform available (all Free of charge);
    • Community Litter Pick - come along and borrow litter picking equipment (pickers, bags, gloves, brushes etc will be available to be provided by the council) and take a walk around the school, park or local area (all children to be supervised by a parent or carer);
    • Belfast City Council  - the Environmental Education team will be on site with Recycling Themed activities;
    • Community Clobber Collection - bring along any bags of clobber to be recycled;  
    • This is a community event.  Any donations or money raised from the cafe will go to the Repair Cafe charity
