The PTA ECO Committee are very excited to be hosting this event at the school with The Repair Cafe Charity on Sat 17/05/25 from 10am to 1pm.
Cycle Repair Team - to mend adult and kids bikes - they are a very experienced team and up for all repair challenges - no booking required just come along from 10am;
Bike M check available- this is a 1 min check to ensure that saddle & bars height are correct, wheels aligned and brakes not rubbing;
Mend Team - to repair clothes / take up hems / fix zips / sew on scout/GB badges etc - there will also be needles, thread and advice available if you want to learn (young & old welcome!!);
The PTA will host a Cafe - tea, coffee, juice, scones, homemade tray bakes etc;
All repairs completed by the Volunteers are free of charge but all small donations are welcome which will help the charity to cover running costs eg insurance & travel costs;
Preloved uniform available (all Free of charge);
Community Litter Pick - come along and borrow litter picking equipment (pickers, bags, gloves, brushes etc will be available to be provided by the council) and take a walk around the school, park or local area (all children to be supervised by a parent or carer);
Belfast City Council - the Environmental Education team will be on site with Recycling Themed activities;
Community Clobber Collection - bring along any bags of clobber to be recycled;
This is a community event. Any donations or money raised from the cafe will go to the Repair Cafe charity
