• Setinus Technolgy Success!

  Two of our P7 pupils reached the final of The Sentinus Construction Challenge on Monday 13th June. They competed with 24 other schools from all over Northern Ireland  at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown. The girls finished a brilliant second place in the designing and building challenge. A fabulous result! We are so proud of them for representing the school and themselves so well.

  

• Football Result

  The football team went to play in a friendly tournament at Cregagh Primary. Some of our players were turning out for the first time ffor the school and they played extremely well, showing great heart and fight. They lost to Harding and Cregagh and drew with Lisnasharragh. As always they were a credit to the school. 

  

• Netball Result

  The Netball Team played against Lisnasharragh and were narrowly defeated 10-8. It was a really tight game and the girls did extremely well. 

  

• READY TO RUN AND RAISE!

  Staff and friends from the school are raising money for the NI Children's Hospice by running in the Belfast Marathon on May Day. We are going to add two weeks school charity collection  to the money they raise. As a school, we are supporting the Children's Hospice in memory of Mary Beggs, the daughter of one of our music tutors, Rodney Beggs, who sadly passed away very recently. She was cared for by the Hospice. Thank you for your support of this special cause.

  

• Tables Bee

  Children in P4-P7 will be having their annual Tables Bee competition on Wednesday 15th June. It's time to start practising those multiplication times tables!! The children will do some practise in school but it would be great if they could do some extra practice at home. The whole idea is that every child, no matter what level they start at, will improve, developing quicker and more accurate recall.

• FANTASTIC FRIDAY SPONSOR DAY

  We will be having our major fundraising day on Friday 6th May. The children will take part in a SPONSORED BOUNCE AND BOOGIE along with a variety or fun activities and games over the day. The children will bring home a sponsor sheet and we are challenging each family to raise £20 and hopefully raise a school total of £5000.

• SPORT RELIEF

  Well done to all of the children who took part in our RUN A MILE for Sport Relief on Thursday 17th March. The children had a great day and the sun shone! We raised a total of £708. Thank you to everyone for their donations.

  

• SPECSAVERS HELP US BE SEEN

  The local Specsavers at Connswater donated 30 high visibility vests to our school as part of their sponsorship of Road Safety Week and helps highlight the importance of young people being seen on our roads and visible to motorists.

• Sport Relief 2016

  On Thursday 17th March the pupils will be rasiing money for Sport Relief. They will take part in a mile run/walk around the school grounds. They should wear sporty clothes (please keep an eye on the weather) and bring a donation towards Sport Relief.
