  • NEW PAPERLESS PARENT NEWSLETTER

    We are trialling a new paperless Parent Newsletter called SWAY.

    Hopefully over the coming months we will be able to stop using a paper copy of the Parent Newsletter being photocopied and sent home in school bags. Instead, you will be able to read the newsletter on your phone, tablet or computer.

  • CHILDREN IN NEED THANKS

    On behalf of Children in Need, a huge thank you to all of your donations! The school has raised £620 through our spotty non-uniform day!
  • ANTI-BULLYING WEEK 2018

    Anti-Bullying Week has been a great chance to explore the issue of bullying and how we can help stamp it out. On Monday 12th November the children wore yellow to highlight the key theme for the week - RESPECT.
  • FOOTBALL SUCCESS!

    The Football Team had two very successful afternoons on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th November.
    In the 1st round of the Cyril Murray Cup the result was - Orangefield 4-2 St. Teresa's

    The next day they played in the first Festival Day afternoon and won all three matches!
    Orangefield 1-0 St. Joseph's
    Orangefield 2-1 Victoria Park
    Orangefield 1-0 Gilnahirk

    A great start to the season!
  • CHILDREN IN NEED BIG LEARNER RELAY

    We will be raising money for Children in Need on Friday 16th November. The children will have a non-uniform day and bring in a donation for the charity. We will be giving our money to one of our school parents, Paul Scott, who is taking part in the Big Learner Relay in aid of Children in Need. Paul and a fellow driving instructor came to speak to the pupils and brought his spotty car to school last week, and we were able to write a few messages on his car to show our support. 
  • HARVEST THANK YOU!

    A massive thank you to all of you who sent in food for our Harvest Assembly. There was a huge array of tins and packets which were bagged up and collected by AGE NI. They were extremely appreciative of the generosity and thoughtfulness of the pupils. 
  • FEET FIRST FAMILIES

    Please remember the school carpark will be closed to all traffic tomorrow, Friday 19 October, for our Feet First Families day. We are encouraging parents and pupils to use this opportunity to walk, cycle or scoot to and from school.

  • HARVEST ASSEMBLY

    All of the children in Years 1-7 will be celebrating Harvest on Friday 26 October. We would like to ask each family to send in one tin or packet of non-perishable foods for distribution to Age NI. Thank you in advance for your support with this.

  • PTA CASH FOR CLOBBER PRIZE!

    We recently found out that we were the winners of the Cookstown Textiles Cash for Clobber large school's prize. We have been awarded £1500 in prize money! This is a fantastic achievement! Thank you to everybody who donated clobber and to the PTA for organising the collections. Look out for more collections during the year.
  • FEET FIRST FAMILIES DAY

    This year’s Sustrans 'Feet First Families' Day will take place on Friday 19th October 2018. The school gates will be closed to all traffic on this day. Parents and pupils can use this opportunity to walk, cycle or scoot to and from school. Throughout the day pupils will be taking part in activities that make use of the free space in the car park and surrounding areas.
